Barway is a striking transformation of a rural home, designed to give our clients a contemporary look they loved while making the most of their beautiful setting. The existing house no longer reflected their style, with its original brickwork feeling heavy and disconnected from the landscape. Our design reimagined the property with a fresh, modern character — converting the former garage into valuable living space, replacing the outdated external finish with a crisp, thermally treated timber cladding, and refining the overall form to feel elegant yet timeless.
The transformation continues outdoors with a carefully considered landscape design. Structured kitchen gardens, vibrant perennial borders, and colourful seasonal planting now frame the house, creating spaces that are both productive and beautiful throughout the year. Expansive terraces connect indoor and outdoor living, making the home perfect for entertaining and family life. The result is a modern, welcoming rural retreat that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.
