The proposals involve the demolition of existing structures and their replacement with purpose-built units, representing a positive step forward for G’s Fresh. The extension is set away from the existing building with a continuous ribbon of glass at roof level. This acts as a separation between the old and the new, whilst also creating a functional way of ensuring the existing thatch remains unaffected by the proposal. A hidden lead gutter runs alongside the existing building to carry rainwater to a hopper on each exterior facade. Aluminium pivot doors and sliding doors will provide new access to a landscaped garden, sunken into the landscape. #architect #AI #listedbuilding #extension #cottage

Incredible progress at our residential renovation Incredible progress at our residential renovation in Camden, London 🏗️ Set within a conservation area and overlooking a scenic lake, this 4-storey home is being transformed into a 5-storey dwelling with a dramatic double-height loft conversion. All internal walls have now been removed, with major structural works well underway and upper floors next to be reconstructed with new joists to open up the plan. The scheme carefully balances heritage and contemporary living — original sash windows are being expertly restored and upgraded, while new open-plan layouts, a private lift, and high-end finishes will bring the home firmly into the present.
